Chip functions EM4200 is a CMOS integrated circuit used to construct read-only RF transponders. It was designed to directly replace all the previous Read Only chips EM4100/4102 and EM4005/4105 produced by EM Microelectronic-Marin. Compared to EM4100/4102 and EM4005/4105, the chip provides higher read range performance and features a 250pF resonant capacitor on the antenna terminals (selectable through configuration options). The unique 128-bit code is laser-programmed into ROM during manufacturing. During reading, it is possible to choose whether to use the factory-programmed unique code from ROM with 64, 96, or 128 bits. The circuit is powered by the same electromagnetic field used for data transmission. Through modulation on the 125 KHz carrier frequency, the chip will transmit the factory-programmed unique code present in ROM.
