Chip functions MIFARE Ultralight AES is a smart IC designed for limited-use contactless tickets and RFID key cards, making it ideal for public transport, access control, and event ticketing. Fully compliant with the ISO/IEC 14443-3 standard, it offers a reading distance of up to 10 cm and integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructures. Security is its core strength thanks to AES-128 cryptography, which enables a 3-pass mutual authentication, optional CMAC calculation for data integrity, and Random ID support for privacy protection. Technically, it features 144 bytes of user memory, three 24-bit counters with anti-tearing protection, and an ECC-based originality signature to prevent counterfeit chips. Finally, its hardware flexibility supports both 17 pF and 50 pF input capacitances, making it suitable for both smart paper tickets and smaller form factors like key fobs and wristbands.
